After a decade of living in Taiwan and having studied Mandarin in college and university in Taiwan, I decided it was finally time to learn Taiwanese. I purchased many books and borrowed elementary school Taiwanese textbooks to learn the language. In the end, this podcast has been my go to resource. It is approachable, entertaining, and incredibly useful. Beyond anything I’ve encountered, this podcast is the way to learn Taiwanese. My disappointment is that it seems Phil and Alan have gone silent. I haven’t seen any recent updates or additions since 2020. Please come back and continue making episodes!
